“Rawbotics” – future proofing & fun

“Rawbotics” is all about future proofing and having fun with it.

It is with great excitement that we welcome the newest member of the Raw team, especially because this guy doesn’t take lunch breaks or days off. It’s an ABB 6400 robot arm that we acquired second hand from the UK supplier Global Robotics. Once we figure out how to use this 6 axis cutting demon, it will be put to work on cutting 2 and 3D prototypes for testing and small production runs.

Apart from all the possibilities and opportunities that this machine will eventually help create for Raw Studios, the other things we like about it is that it is huge, orange, moves like a ballerina, and looks super cool.
